After breakfast, you will take a bus first to Wuwei City to visit the Tianti Mountain Grottoes, created in Beiliang during the period of the Sixteen Kingdoms of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, with a history of about 1,600 years. Then you will proceed to Leitai Han Tomb as well as the park for a visit. After the tour, you will be transferred to Zhangye City to check in the hotel and have a rest.

Today we will take a bus to the colours of Zhangye Danxia Geological Park in Linze County, which is famous for its colourful and variegated landscape, with thousands of cliffs and mountains showing bright reddish-red and reddish-brown colours, especially in the sunlight, and the colourfulness of the various strangely shaped mountain hills. Then drive to Jiayuguan City and visit Jiayuguan Fortress, which was built in Ming Dynasty and is the most spectacular fortress along the Ming Great Wall.

 

After breakfast, you will first travel to Guazhou County to visit the statue of the "Son of the Earth". Afterwards, we will take a bus to Dunhuang City to visit the Crescent Spring of Mingsha Mountain, which has always been famous for its "desert wonders" and is one of Dunhuang's business cards. Crescent Spring is located under the Mingsha Mountain, in the dunes surrounded by sand, because of the relationship between the terrain, when the wind is blowing the sand does not go down the mountain, but to the mountain flow, so the crescent spring never be buried by the sand, known as "the eye of the desert".

Today we will first visit the Mogao Caves, also known as the Thousand Buddha Caves, located in the southeast of Dunhuang city centre. The grottoes were first built during the 16th period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and the grottoes were excavated over a thousand years until the end of the Yuan Dynasty. With a large number of murals, grottoes and cultural relics, it is a world-famous destination for Buddhist art. Here you can enjoy the vast scale and richness of the cave and mural art, and also learn about the history of Buddhism in Dunhuang for thousands of years through lectures and film shows. Then drive to Yangguan Ruins, Yangguan Ruins, also known as Yangguan Museum, is located in the west side of Dunhuang City, about 60 kilometres from Dunhuang City, is a scenic spot based on the ruins of the ancient Yangguan. Inside the scenic spot, there are some imitation Han Dynasty citadel buildings and several exhibition halls, displaying many cultural relics on the ancient Silk Road.

As your China trip comes to end, your tour guide and driver will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to Dunhuang Mogao International Airport for your flight home.
